Parke Heritage High School students attended Be A Teacher Day at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday, November 3.
Students were able to break out into sessions that discussed paying for college, scholarships, and financial aid. They spoke with 29 different colleges that offer teaching programs across the state. They also were able to hear from active education students at Purdue.
The group also heard from the 2025 Indiana teacher-of-the-year, Megan Johnson. She spoke about making education fun and inspiring.
The students attended an Indiana Pacers game after the workshop.
Attending the trip were Brooklynn Reath. Devin Jones. Justice Stark, Savannah Cotten, Mackenzie Reath, Rosa Perez, Lillyan Myers and Mrs. Morgan Cooper.
