In celebration of National FFA Week, Parke Heritage High School had the pleasure of hosting District VII officers Calvin Myers and Chloe Inman. Their visit provided an opportunity for students in Mr. Colton McMullen’s and Mrs. Hallie Helderman’s agriculture classes to engage in meaningful activities focused on teamwork and leadership.
Serving as the District President, Calvin is a member of the Bloomfield FFA Chapter. As the District Reporter, Chloe hails from the Cloverdale Chapter. One of the highlights of their visit was the engaging teamwork activity known as the "human knot." This exercise challenged students to work collaboratively to untangle themselves from a physical knot, fostering communication, problem-solving, and cooperation among participants.
Additionally, the district officers participated in the chapter’s Farmer Olympics, an event organized by FFA members. This competition tested students' skills in various agricultural-related events.
