Thank you, REMC and the Parke County Community Foundation!
This spring, RES students in Mr. Steven Hartman’s class worked with Mrs. Beth Faust to come up with ideas to improve the RES playground.
Working in groups, they composed ideas, worked on plans and made presentations with their ideas.
“They were very passionate in their designs of new playground spaces. After much work and consideration, their goal is to have a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round installed that is safe for all students,” said Mrs. Faust.
As a part of their work, the group recently received grants from Parke County REMC and the Parke County Community Foundation to help fund this project.
Students who attended the check presentation from Parke County REMC were Hutson Wilson, Brooke Busenbark, Jaxton Shannon, Vivian Busenbark, McKenna McCann, and Henry Overpeck along with Beth Faust.
