FALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION
Please read the information below and watch the video from PHHS athletic director Mr. Rich Schelsky, which provides schedules and guidlelines for fall athletic information.
Welcome back to PH Athletics! Below you will find guidelines that everyone must follow as we try to get back to somewhat normal procedures during this Pandemic. It is our hope as the PH Athletic Department that we provide all of our athletes and coaches the best experience possible while also maintaining the safest environment possible. We will try to get through all of this the best we can. Please be patient and understanding with some of the restrictions that have been set. They are put in place for the health and safety of our athletes and coaches. Our goal is to get back to as close to normal as possible during this different and unique time in our world.
Below are the conditioning schedules for July:
Boys Weights/Conditioning: M, T, W, Th 5:30-7:30 in PHHS weight room.
Girls Weights/Conditioning: M, T, W, Th 5:00-6:00 in PHMS (Parke Heritage Middle School) weight room.
Please contact your sport specific coach for your sport specific workout dates/times.
Below are the phases that the Indiana DOE and the IHSAA have set up for a return to high school athletics. I have met with all of our coaches about all of these guidelines and they are ready to go forward with the month of July as set forth by our two governing bodies and the NCP school corporation. We will all do our best to keep our athletes and coaches healthy and safe so that we can continue to move forward to the start of the school year and fall sports.
Phase 1 (July 6-July 19)
• All summer activities are voluntary. Coaches cannot make anything mandatory to attend.
• No locker rooms available. Athletes should come dressed and leave immediately after workouts.
• 15 hrs/week maximum on campus for each athlete.
• 2 days/week, 3 hour maximum per day for sport specific workouts, but cannot be on consecutive days.
• Conditioning/Weights can be 4 days/week with a 2 hour maximum.
• NO CONTACT ALLOWED (contact sport is defined as football and wrestling).
• SUNDAYS ARE OFF-LIMITS.

• No scrimmages/games vs. other schools allowed.

Phase 2 (July 20-Aug. 14)

Any athlete that had a physical on file at PHHS or PHMS for the 2019-2020 school year does not need a new physical for the 2020-2021 school year. If you are a transfer student and had an IHSAA physical for the 2019-2020 school year you do not need a new physical, but you must turn in your 2019-2020 physical to the PH Athletic Office. Any athlete that does not have a physical on file at PHHS or PHMS will need to get a physical for the upcoming school year. If you have a physical on file from last school year you are required to complete and sign four forms:

2) IHSAA Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form
3) PHHS Emergency Contact Form

You must have these four forms completed and on file in the PHHS Athletic Office before being able to participate in athletics at PHHS for the 2020-2021 school year. These forms will soon be available on the NCP website, NCP and PH Facebook pages or you may also pick up these forms in the Parke Heritage High School Office.
